I have been doing research of my own, but I am still unsure about which one to decide on:

I am interested in the Pascal Desktop GPU Laptops as it has raised excitement for enthusiasts for portable gaming.

My price range is between: 1500-2500 but I am wondering if it is worth to buy the more expensive ones in the 2000 range since it is a slight bump up in performance.

I want to get the right one for the price.

Please let me know what you think! Thanks!

Solution
Here's a build for the same cost as that laptop that also includes a 144hz 1080p monitor in the budget.
You can get much more performance out of a desktop.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($204.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 74.3 CFM CPU Cooler ($24.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($56.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($60.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($88.48 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5"...
Sorry, but if I might ask what is your intended use?
Are you going to college?
Travelling?
Often it is not the case that someone needs a gaming laptop, as a workstation laptop and separate gaming desktop is the best alternative, but I just wanted to check this. ;)

I figure its easier to have a portable laptop, and I guess 1400 gaming laptop would be best considering any higher would be aiming me towards a ultimate mini-ITX Build like the ones I found and posted above. What do you think?
