I still have my 2500K which was purchased new in 2011 for a build. However, my ASUS P8P67 Pro Motherboard died in 2013 and I had to find a replacement (lots of failure reports on that ASUS motherboard). It was originally highly overclocked but now is returned to stock speed as it is no longer my primary gaming rig.
With that said, you are taking a risk on how that chip was used, especially if it was overclocked. It's now a six year old chipset and that ASUS board is a ticking time bomb if it is the same model as mine. I think that price is a little steep. I would not pay more than $175(US) for all ($230CAN).
