I have A10 7700k processor on hand.
Can this processor pair with r7 260x or r7 250 to perform dual graphics?
If not, what is the latest gpu that can support dual graphics technology with this CPU?
I had found from AMD website says that it was recommended to pair with a7 240 but I would like to know is that is the only graphic card or highest end graphic card that can pair with my CPU as it written 'recommended' instead of 'only compatible with'.

Thanks in advanced for reading my post and hope to have a clarification soon.

Yeah, that's a typo. Your APU would crossfire with an r7 240, but a better GPU will yield better performance.

Many will cite bottlenecking (one component being held back by another) which is why balance of CPU and GPU can be important on a budget. A mid-tier GPU would be a good match.
This suggests you could pair an a10 7700k with an r7 240: http://www.cpu-world.com/info/AMD/Recommended_graphics_cards_for_AMD_dual-graphics.html

This shows the benefit of having such a crossfire configuration: http://www.eteknix.com/kaveri-hybrid-crossfire-a10-7850k-a10-7700k-r7-240-250/5/

This shows you what you could achieve with a different GPU entirely: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9287/the-amd-a10-7700k-and-amd-a6-7400k-cpu-review/3

The idea of crossfire (or even SLI) is to pair graphics solutions which are identical for a boost in performance. As I understand it, it wouldn't work between two different graphics cards. Because the iGPU in the APU isn't high tier, it would limit what can be crossfired with it (hence the r9 240).

Truthfully, if you're looking for better performance with what you already have, an r9 240 will give you a reasonable boost in performance. However, the benchmarks show you can get better performance by getting a GPU better than the r9 240 (hence ditching the idea of crossfiring).

Thanks for the lengthy explanation.

If I'm not getting wrongly, you are referring to r9 285 instead of r9 240 (r9 240 is not an existing model).
I would like to go with r7 260x instead after finish my own research. Mid-range gpu is enough for my usage.
r9 285 would be the best choice if budget is sufficient but not for now.
