PC all the sudden dies, then boots back up. Also won't turn on for longer than 2 milliseconds.

So...I'm in panic mode here. I've saved for years to build my PC and am not old enough to get a job if components are broken.

So I was playing on my PC, then suddenly it turn ed off for no reason and turned on again. It has kept happening through out these last couple days. Now, it died and tried to turn on for a moment, then died. It would not try again unless I turned the (rosewill hive 750w) power supply off and on again. I did that a few times, nothing.

Oh...Just turned around, PC is on. I turned it off and unplugged it.

What could be causing this? I just turned my overclock off and did a stress test and nothing wrong happened (did that a few minutes before it stopped turning on).

Could it be a power supply failure? I don't see how that could be as the computer just stayed running for a while a few moments ago. How about the 4790K? I don't really know any symptoms of CPU failure so IDK. Motherboard (Fatal1ty Z97 killer) ? I really have no idea.

I don't know if this is relevant but I will throw it in here. I built this PC about 7 months ago and no problems ever. I just moved my setup upstairs because we are painting my room and this stuff started happening. I have had a slight suspicion that while I'm playing the fridge is connected to like the same power grid or something and it's to much to handle for the power grid? That may sound stupid, IDK anything about stuff like that. but don't houses run off of like different power 'sets'? like one for the garage, upstairs, downstairs etc? the computer power downs happen at random, not under just stress or anything (that's why I did stress test).

anyways...that was a long explanation and I'm really worried something is taking a poop...PLZ SEND HALP.

It has HORRIBLE results in reviews. It's pretty much the same platform as the OCZ Zs 650 (http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/rosewill-hive-650-w-power-supply-review/2/ and https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/OCZ/ZS_650W/7.html) , and those results are definitely capable of shutting down your PC when the PSU is in top shape, let alone after months of abuse and damage!

You should never use high end maxwell/pascal with garbage PSUs, most likely simply getting a Seasonic G 550 or EVGA G2 550 will fix the issue (and even if it doesn't now you have a PSU that will last for a decade)

It had not bad reviews :/. the motherboard wasn't ridiculously expensive either. It was a MSI gtx 980 gpu, do I need to replace the PSU?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182133 ya some people said it died but most say it was good. My PSU was my least researched item I bought but I thought that one would do just fine. its not like its sub 3 stars or anything and a guy said he has been using his for 4 years.

Just plugged my PC in, running fine for the moment. I'll wait until I plug it back in downstairs and see if its doing funky stuff before I start replacing parts.
