I have Imac 2009 running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
I have decided to bite the bullet and upgrade. I know its way to late but since there are no security updates for SL, My understanding is once the installer is downloaded from Apple and installed, it will be deleted automatically. I would like to keep a copy of the installer in case anything goes wrong during the installation process. Any advise or tutorial is greatly appreaciated.

HERE ya go, I just Googled it.

While newer machines can Internet-install, I don't know machines your age can.

Anywoo, I prefer making me a bootable flash too, that way I only download it once if anything happens, specially if you have a slow Internet.
