Hi,

I'm just wondering if my current H100i v2 placement is correct.

So currently my H100i v2 is mounted in the front as an exhaust, and I saw that the common radiator setup is to have it on top as an exhaust. But will it make a difference if it's on top or front?

Here's my current cooling setup:

3 x top intakes
1 x rear exhaust
Front mounted Corsair H100i v2 (Exhaust)

All fans are CM Jetflo 120.

Current max temp under load:
CPU:
Max - 45 C

GPU:
Max - 60C

Here's the full build list

Please advice

Thanks! :)

Although it's better to have the rad exhaust out the top, it's perfectly fine to have it in the front. I've done the same thing as when I upgraded to the P400, watercooling support was overlooked but It hasn't affected my temps in a negative way, in fact the fresh air from the front seems to help. The only problem is now we have hot air blowing over our gpus, which is fine but you may get a bit more noise and a lesser overclocking ability.

Edit: I like to show off :p

its not optimal, but you're overkilling the cooling with your setup and case anyway. unless you live in a desert with no ac, i doubt you'd see any performance hit from your setup over an "optimal" setup. Optimal being front/bottom intake, top/back exhaust.
