Hello there. First of all, i checked many websites in tom's hardware and i updated my bios to the latest version. I changed 2 times my thermal paste its an mx4.

There is no dust on my system. My idle temps are 50 to 70 degrees C. While gaming its 70 to 100 degrees C. Im using THE STOCK INTEL COOLER.

The avr temps where i live are 24 to 28 degrees C.

My cpu is a i74790k
mobo: asus z97 pro gamer
gtx 970
2 tb disk
250g main disk

How can i solve this??? Im saving money right now to buy a new cooler for the cpu. But in the meantime, i cant play games or use autocad(i work with this). Its really fishy in my opinions this temperatures.

The only thing I can think of is bad contact with the cpu cooler. Try removing it and ensuring there isn't anything other than thermal paste between the cpu and heatsync, then ensure it is completely up against the cpu when installing.

My best guess is that the CPU cooler is defective (fan or defective heatsink).

The stock cooler may not be seated well. It should snap in and put enough pressure. Unfortunately it's prone to break if you replace it.

Even the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ($25USD) is a much better cooler. I would consider:
a) Cryorig H7
b) Noctua NH-U12S or better
c) liquid coolers? (only if you need to overclock. I dislike liquid coolers. Not only are they prone to fail, but they also remove air flow across the system memory.)

If on a budget, I'd go with the Cryorig H7. Leave CPU at stock (4.4GHz Turbo).

So...

*The ONLY thing you can likely do right now is to adjust the fan profile.

1. find Asus site for that board
2. download fan software
3. setup a profile whilst monitoring CPU temp

*Make sure your CPU temperature is actually correct. You can use the Asus software and programs like "Core Temp". They can differ though, because Core Temp monitors the CPU's reported temp, and motherboard software may be monitoring temperatures sensors on the motherboard.

I'd use Core Temp, and try to get the core temps below 80degC if possible.

Also run a CPU diagnostic:

Other:
*Do not overclock the CPU. In fact, if temperatures are still an issue you should temporarily UNDERCLOCK the CPU. The easiest may be to simply DISABLE TURBO. It will help a small amount.

That is in the motherboard BIOS.
