Hi everyone,

My friend wants to build a gaming PC for himself. Could you suggest build's for around 800-1000$ including the monitor (144hz 1ms) He's mainly into games like CS:GO, League and somewhat of Overwatch.

Thanks everyone, Appreciate it.

He wants a GTX970? Not a 1070 or 1060? (if he wishes to keep to NVidia) Not an RX-480? (if he doesn't hate AMD) All three of these cards will outperform a 970.... but if he's stuck on that particular card...

What about OS and other peripherals?

He's looking at about $195 USD alone for a monitor that meets those specs. That video card, at its cheapest will be about $285 right now... those two alone eat up half his budget. It can be done, however.

IF he doesn't need the OS, he can bump up to a higher end i5 CPU:
