so i am taking a big step from my previous gaming pc and finally building my own. this is going to be a editing machine but still have gaming included. I have sorted out the parts and think they are ok. however, I was wondering is there anything holding one component back from another. or is there anymore improvements. here is the build:

Intel Core i7-6950X Extreme Edition 3GHz
Gigabyte GA-X99-UD4P Socket LGA2011-3 7.1 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX GAMING OC
Corsair 32GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 2133MHz RAM/Memory Kit 2x 16GB
Samsung 850 Evo 2.5" Internal SSD - 1 TB
EVGA 1000 GQ Modular Gold Rated 80+ Power Supply
NZXT H440 Mid Tower Gaming Case with Side Window - White/Black
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx

in total the build comes to roughly £2900. I am willing to spend more or less.
thanks
matt

Are you referring to video or photo editing (or something else)? What resolution and frame rate are you hoping to achieve for gaming?

The only concern right now is the single SSD. If that drive goes up the creek, all of your data could go with it. Personally, I'd suggest you have a smaller SSD for the OS and programs and another one for games and personal files.
