Hi, I have been getting a CPU problem,
I have an Intel core i5-3470 @3.20 - 3.60 maximum speed.
My CPU has been going way above the maximum speed, And while playing the Battlefield 1 Open Beta I get like 10 - 20fps maximum on the lowest settings possible.
I have a GTX 960 Strix by the way.
my CPU goes up to 90% usage ..

This has never happened to me. I want it to be fixed asap.

Please help!
Thank you!

Solution
What does "way above" mean exactly, plus Battlefield 1 Open Beta it's still a beta so performance is not exactly stellar for anybody, plus the it's engine is very reliant on the gpu. As for the cpu usage, that' normal when playing any intensive game.
Try installing latest driver from Nvidia and also is your cpu a "K" variant ?

Solution
There is nothing wrong with your CPU.

You show a max of 3.75GHz when Turbo is 3.6GHz. These numbers are not always exact due to a number of reasons not worth mentioning.

You've mentioned only a single game. Your issues are thus likely due to this game only. 90% seems reasonable for BF1.

If other games work then there is no issue except that you may need to wait for BF1 to go gold and fix whatever optimization issue is screwing things up.

update:
You say "every game" but do not mention other games or benchmarks.

What OTHER games is having problems?

Did you CHANGE anything recently?

Is your monitor connected to the VIDEO CARD (not motherboard)?

Other:
If you run the benchmark, 3DMark2001 you should get a slightly lower score than I got. I got about 70,000. I have an i7-3770K + GTX960.

You should probably get at least 60,000 (I don't know how much the CPU factors in). It's a rough guide anyway to see if your basic system is working.

Other:
If performance in that sucks, maybe reinstall the drivers:
a) DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
b) reinstall NVidia drivers
