Computer Starts But Black Screen

Okay so basically I just bought a new MS amd 970 gaming board and I connected everything up. After starting up the system all the fans just ran but no picture was to be shown.

I also attached a speaker to the system but the speaker made no sound, only with the RAM not being inserted it beeped. Also changed the CPU with a different one and the same problem occurred. Even ran the pc without the CPU or CPU cable attached and the same problem occurred of the pc starting but black screen.

I would like to know what the problem could be , if it is the motherboard is faulty or the cpu perhaps... unless both cpus I inserted and tested on the motherboard were both faulty... but its technically bothering me that there is something wrong with the cpu... because on the net there is no answer to a faulty cpu and what the symptoms are...

Try attaching a case speaker http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/12-201-032-TS?$S640W$ to the motherboard and see if the CPU fan does spin and if any beeps when starting the board with no RAMs.
If no beeps, then you'd know that it's a CPU issue, since the board is new.

firstly I did install a speaker... second I did forget to mention I used the gpu considering it has no onboard graphics. i did use 2 cpus and both gave the same outcome of a black screen when turned on...

lol like the one I work at... even my colleagues are stumped. I just wanted to get some opinions on the matter. because I just sent my motherboard back now and yea assuming its the main cause... anyway thanks dudes
