well that monitor would be good for photoshop work, but not great for gaming. especially with that card which is going to create tons of screen tearing without V Sync. I would say either go for a 1060/R9 Fury/R9 FuryX/980ti/1070 if you want to use that monitor for gaming, as then there is no point in having a card that will max the game and run it at 100+ FPS.
what exactly do you want to do with this setup?
well if you get a 1080 I would say that is a great monitor to have with it, as the 1080 will certainly put out enough frames at 1440p to warrant 144Hz and GSync. the nice thing is, a monitor like that can probably even out last that GPU. as for buying It I honestly have no idea. do you play CSGO or just really want a fast image? how much do you like gaming? how easily can you spare$1200? it s a great combination, the question lies with can you take advantage of it/ how much do you want it.

Hi sorry I have changed up the post a bit, changed monitor and decided to go for 1440p 60HZ instead.

What do you think about the Dell one I linked?
I have seen some reviews saying there I backlight bleed...
