Hello!

I recently purchased my Asus ROG GTX 1080 Strix (Non-OC) and I've been getting a really bad experience so far. I've had a really poor performance in games such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Minecraft and the newly released Battlefield 1 Open Beta.

In Rise of the Tomb Raider I sometimes drop to 20 fps on maxed out settings (hairworks off) and I'm fairly sure that I shouldn't be dropping to such low fps. Same stuff in Battlefield 1 although I drop to around 35 fps. Minecraft has been really weird for me as well. I play Minecraft in 720p and I was able to record Minecraft in 720p120fps with no problems at all on my old GTX 770 but now that I got my GTX 1080 my fps got significantly lower and I can't record in 120 fps anymore for some odd reason. Don't ask my why I record Minecraft in 120 fps, I like it that way. I really feel like my GPU is underperforming and would love to get some help.

I've had really good performance on Overwatch with constant 100+ fps. Every other game that I've tried was a pain in the ass for me.

Specs:
Motherboard: Asus P9X79
CPU: Intel Core i7-4820k @ 3.7GHz
GPU: Asus ROG GTX 1080 Strix (Non-OC) as stated above.
RAM: 8GB DDR3
PSU: 750W
HDD: 2TB 5400RPM
No SSD (ordering soon)
I'm planning on upgrading my motherboard, cpu and ram soon.

I have the latest Nvidia drivers and I've tried switching gpu slots, nothing worked yet.

Sorry for my English, I'm not a native English speaker.

Updated benchmark has your card performing normally now.
I'd give it a try in-game.

Battlefield 1 really hits my CPU hard with my 1080, I'd possibly suspect you might not have enough single-thread performance down at 3.7Ghz.

Have you overclocked the card at all?
I find my 1080 freaks out a bit when I bump up the clock higher than 2210Mhz and then it locks itself to 600mhz until I reboot, if your pc is still running slow in-game, run GPU-z in the background for a while and see what your clock speeds are while in-game, as well as the perfcap reason.

No, I didn't overclock my card and I'll see what I can do with my cpu. I'm still dropping to around 35-40 fps on Battlefield 1.

Here's my GPU-z Sensor Log:
