Hello
Hello

I recently tried to install 16.30 drives for my sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2gb
as soon as i installed the drivers but it still shows that i have 15.301 drivers.
then i ran DDU and reinstalled the drivers but then there still was 15.3 drivers installed
could it be that my gpu doesnt support newer drivers?
(sorry for my bad english :p)

PC specs
Windows 8.1
Sapphire Radeon HD 6950
AsRock H61M-HVS
8GB RAM 1333mhz DDR3
Intel core i3 2100

Solution
may google around to see if theres a work around ?? being beta no telling but ya, I up to my 3ed card [ditched amd I also got games that now don't work with new drivers and have to use older pre 12.xx to support them ] went from a 6805 to a 7850 to now a 980ti and it works with everything on one driver

not to say NVidia is better but at least they support all my needs still today not like AMD and too bad so sad . sad thing is I all ways liked AMD cards , but they just seem to screw me over to many times lately on support

good luck
Amd has moved the any GPU without the GCN Architecture to Legacy drivers which means you cant use new drivers because they are only focusing on the GPU's that has the GCN Architecture the 7000 series and up thats why you cant up date the 6950 drivers and no new drivers will work for them because they didn't make new drivers for it so it will install the last driver that will support that GPU.

Okay thanks for your answer!
So that pretty much means that i wasted 60€ for infinite warfare i think?
because battlefield 1 open beta requires atleast 16.20 drivers

the new drivers may not be compatible with your old card it mow listed as legacy
I think something like 15.xx is as high as you can use

you need to upgrade your card system requirements for bf1 is atleast a AMD 7850 series anyway

•OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
•Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350.
•Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K.
•Memory: 8GB RAM.
•Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.
•Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB
