Hey, as above I said, while i'm playing higher demanding games like fallout 4,far cry 4,BF1,Evolve etc. I play just fine with high fps everything works, after like 5-10 minute(depends on the game) cpu usage jumps to 100%, my whole computer gets really slow, fps drops down to 5-15 fps for 10 seconds, then works perfectly again, then another 5 minutes and the lag comes back. I checked the temps, while gaming,
CPU: AMD FX8350-60 C
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX970 Gaming 1 - 44 C
The highest temperature on my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-970A-D3) was 68 C
8GB Ram

I noticed that the metal shielding on my GPU gets really hot, but the temps seems fine. When I put a huge fan to the case, it works perfectly, so it must be some kind of overheat, but on the HW MONITOR everything seems fine. The Motherboard and the HDD is really old, could they cause this problem? I searched many times online, and others with these kind of problems had the FX8350, or FX 8XXX.

League of legends/MMOs/CSGO/SC2/D2 runs just fine. Only big titles seems to has this kind of problem.

If anyone could help me, I would be really thankful, I'm getting tired of problem.
Thank you very much, If i missed out something, please feel free to ask!

Solution
It probably is the best Gigabyte motherboard if your budget is limited. There are better motherboards based on the 990FX chipset, but they also cost more. If you don't mind switching to Asus, then you should seriously consider is the new Asus 970 PRO GAMING/AURA (that would be my choice if I had to buy a motherboard for a FX-8350).

Alright, so i tried to monitor it.
IDLE- CPU(value):47 C GPU(V):39 C. 20% CPU usage

Start Game BF1
-45%CPU usage. 56 C .Core speed 4127 MHz, Multiplier x20.5
-GPU:53 C

5min- First lag.
Cpu usage:99-100% last for 20 seconds. Temp:58 C.
Core speed:2800 MHZ Multiplier: x14

GPU:62 C

7min next lag
Cpu: 57C 2800MHz x14 99-100 usage
Gpu:60C

The lag occurse every 2-3 minute after it. lasts for 10-20 sec

8gb ram-> 7,4 G usage while gaming.

HDD- 48-50 C

I hope this helps

Why don't you monitor the thermal margins with AMD Overdrive? Then you'd know for sure the motherboard is the issue.

Alright, so i ran the test. The throttling happened after 1min 30 sec. This temperature was the lowest it could've do.

I noticed that it happened when the thermal margin reached 13-13.8 C. always . Another thing was, when it happened i heard a quiet beep sound from the case, till it reached like 30 plus.

Yeah that's right. Thermal margain reaches 13.2, frequency drops and stays like that until the termal margain reaches 30. So what do you think should be the easiest/cheapest way to fix this problem?

Replace the motherboard with one that can fully support your CPU without having to throttle it at full load. Why didn't you get the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P? Its 8-phase VRM with a heatsink makes it appropriate for your CPU. Your motherboard doesn't support any 125W FX CPU simply because the VRM isn't up to the task.

Well, i have this motherboard for like 4-5 years now. Thank you for the help, I think I will go with the motherboard you said if that's the best option. Thank you for your helps again!
