Ok so I am thinking of buying a new MOBO and processor as I am just kind of tired of lackluster AMD (In my opinion), question I have is compatibility says no issues, however I was concerned that there might be some issues with my GPU and potential upgrade, also anything else recommended/suggested would love to hear.

Here is the potential new build (only the MOBO and processor are new), havent decided on RAM yet either.

ah I see. in that case... there's no reason to go for a Z170 board...
it's an okay-build.

the RAM is fine
the cooler is good although not needed, but will run cooler and quieter as the stock cooler
I'd go for a 520/550W XFX TS/XTR or Sasonic PSU, that will open up some budget for a better GPU like a 4GB Rx480

edit: also, scrap a 1TB SSD - it's money burning. get a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD for storage
with the money you save you can get a 1060 GPU which will be much better
also you don't need a Z170 board. I'll make chances and post them here, sec

I already have everything listed except for the board and processor, the only thing else that might happen is I might aquire a GTX 970 through a friend, but that is undecided

there you go. cheaper and much better suited for your needs

ah I see. in that case... there's no reason to go for a Z170 board with a non-k CPU
either you upgrade the CPU to the 6600k (for overclocking) or you downgrade the board to, like I suggested, a MSI B150 Bazooka for example, which is a nice board.

Yeah, since you already have so much of it, you could either upgrade to a i5 6600k, or swap down to the motherboard Isokolon recommended. But you don't need a Z170 motherboard if you aren't going for a -k processor.
