Hi. I have the Enermax NAXN 450AGT PSU. I would like to replace the fan for Airen Redwings 120. Am I going to have any problems with the fan connected in the motherboard? Or should I plug it into the PSU fan slot using only 2 out of 3 holes on the fan connector? Will the above mentioned Airen regulate its revolutions correctly while plugged directly in the PSU fan slot? Thanks for answers and apologize my bad english

Solution
having fan modded an older enermax PSU, it seems they fan regulation is all on the PSU board. they d not seem to care if the fan is plugged into the PSU slot or elsewhere, but just to keep things neat I would try to get the fan power thought the PSU fan socket. you could have to cut and re-solder some fan wires to make sure the fan gets the right polarity voltage. on my revolution 85+ it seems to run the fan at a constant 5V unless it gets really warm, which it never has.

Thanks for a quick response.

glad to help. just remember to test all voltages before hand and insulate your work. Also test things outside of the PSU first if possible, and make sure the PSU is unplugged and discharged (do the paperclip test while it is unplugged to drain it).
