I have an ASRock
Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac Mobo and was wondering if it will support Mushkin Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory. I believe it should since it supports memory up to 4000 hrz but i was not 100% on this particular ram set.

Solution
You want documented ram compatibility. If you should ever have a problem, you want supported ram.
Otherwise, you risk a finger pointing battle between the ram and motherboard support sites, claiming "not my problem".
One place to check is your motherboards web site.
Look for the ram QVL list. It lists all of the ram kits that have been tested with that particular motherboard.
Sometimes the QVL list is not updated after the motherboard is released.
For more current info, go to a ram vendor's web site and access their ram selection configurator.
Enter your motherboard, and you will get a list of compatible ram kits.
I see no reason why it should not. Mushkin makes good RAM, and the fatal1ty boards despite their cringey naming are nice boards. I used one of those boards n a customer build in fact, it worked (and still is working) great. it is not on the supported list, but as the RAM specs are not exotic it should work.

It will run it at 3000 if he as an unlocked 6600k or 6700k and he may or may not have to overclock the CPU slightly. Can set the the XMP for 3000 , but if it won't run it they may have to overclock the CPU a little then try setting it at 3000.

4000 can only be achieved by a single stick , single channel.

I really like the price point of that particular ram with the timing being at 15x15x15 35 and the mrhz at 3000 with the cas at 15. From my basic understanding of ram it's always good to go with cas being half of the mrhz that the ram is running at and the timing is really good too I think idk. Im going to be using an i5 6500 but I could blck through an older bios if I had to.

Well I actually decided to go to the support website for mushkin and I submitted a ticket and I got a response pretty quickly.

"Yes the 997205T kit is compatible with your mobo, all you should have to do is enable the XMP profile in the BIOS(UEFI) for the memory to run at DDR4-3000 CL15"

Thanks
Sean

So that answers that but I gotta say I'm impressed with that response time that was less then an hour for them to get back to me I feel pretty confident now in my selection. Thank you everyone for your help.
