My 980 has just died so I decided to just buy an entirely new system (keeping PSU and case because they're only a few months old).
So far I've decided that I'm getting:

Asus GTX 1080
8GB (2x4) Corsair DDR4 RAM
Here comes the conundrum, I am choosing between the MSi Z170 M3 or the M5.
I don't have any M.2 components and I don't want to SLI, is there any point in going for the M5?
