Ok so I just finished rebuilding my PC. New specs are as follows:

I5-6500 skylake
MSI Z170A PC Mate
MSI GTX 970 gaming 4gb
Corsair 16gb (4x4gb) 3000mhz DDR4
EVGA 500w White 80+
1TB Hard drive

My question for you guys is, why does my FPS shoot up into the hundreds when I turn on Adaptive Verticle Sync in the Nvidia control panel? I turned of the in-game vsync as advised. I did enable adaptive vsync under the global tab in the co trol panel. Is there something I missed? Maybe a setting I forgot to enable/disable? This was while playing Battlefield 4. I also tried it in GtA V and it just made everything look bad, fps was in the mid hundreds and the picture looked like crap. Any help would be nice. Thanks guys
