I just built my new pc and everything works perfectly besides the internet. When I plug my Ethernet cable in to my computer is says Windows can't detect a properly installed network adapter, and that I need to get a new driver for it. I don't understand this because when I plug it into my laptop it works perfectly. How can I fix this?

Solution
You need to install driver for the hardware(network card) in your desktop. There is probably a driver disk that came with the motherboard or card, or you can look st the manufacturer's website for a driver.

You need to install the drivers for the motherboard's network adapter. They should be on a CD that came with the board, otherwise you will have to download them off the web and put them on a flash drive to install them on the computer.
