Hi everyone :)

So, I' m planning to move my Alieware X51 R3's components into a new windoewd case: the NZXT Manta, but, the X51's motherboard and RAM is too ugly, so I want to buy the Gigabyte Z170N G1 Gaming Motherboard, and red HyperX RAM, so it looks better in a red trim case, but, I want to keep my i7 6700 so I don't have to pay 300+ dollars into a new CPU. I would also like to swap the CPU cooler too if possible.

Please help.

So you want to buy a new case, a new motherboard, new memory, and a new copy of windows for "prettiness"?

To answer your question, yes you can reuse your 6700 in any socket 1151 motherboard that supports it.

At that point, Ecky does make a point where CPU + Storage drive + GPU is the only things you are not replacing.
Maybe you should just sell your alienware and build a new computer.
You can certainly do that, but in my opinion that's a pretty bad use of several hundred dollars. If you change motherboards, you're also going to need to buy a new copy of Windows. At that point you've practically built a second PC, short of the CPU.
