Probably going to get a job and dispense ~$2000 into a setup (keyboard, mouse, dual monitors included).

I know about video cards and CPU's and I'll probably get a 6770K and GTX 1080. I just have no idea what motherboard, fan, and heat sink to get. Any ideas!?!!!

This is the setup I'm looking at. Is everything compatible and a decent choice for the money?

I've also included a good headset with two great thin bezeled IPS monitors.
If you need windows take the headset out of the equation. :)

Thanks man. May I ask what you changed? Also, how did you decide on that cooling system as motherboard? Lastly, is a case fan a necessity? Also can you tell me which poor choices I had and what you replaced them with. Thanks bro!

The power supply, although good quality was overpriced, so I went for an EVGA B2 which is good quality and a bargain atm.
Case fans are not necessary by the way, as most of the time if you're getting a half decent case, you'll get some solid ones included.
For gaming builds in this price range, your SSD choice was good, but only ever go for a 2TB Barracuda drive, the 3TB and up suffer from high failure rates.
If more storage is needed, the OP is likely working with heavy editing content with a 6 core rig, at which point a WD Black is necessary, or a WD Red if they're doing a NAS setup.
The keyboard is overpriced, and overkill too for that matter.
Typically you want to search Cherry MX, filter by price and select a good value board that is also good quality.
The motherboard you selected does not support overclocking, as it is a H110M budget chipset board.
Z170 boards are for OCing, H170 boards feature the same components as Z170 boards minus OC capabilities, B150M is quite low-mid range and H110M is budget.

The RAM was poorly priced, the case had poor build quality and was overpriced, and there are better options than the 212 Evo at the same price point or lower like the Be Quiet! Pure Rock or the Deepcool Gammax 400.

Ohhhh thanks you're a huge help :D

Will my OS be fast if I use a 250GB SSD for boot and 2TB mech hd for games etc?

Also where can I learn more about motherboards and heats inks (CPU cooling) and RAM? I know which card and CPU I want, but I don't know much about everything else :(

Yes it will be. :)
If you're having trouble putting together a build, make a thread and or PM me with a budget and if you need peripherals/OS/monitor, and i'll help you out. ;)
Most of the time it's a matter of doing the hard yards and reading tonnes of reviews and summaries of how stuff works, what components do what, and how to efficiently budget PC builds.
Typically you want your graphics card to be at least 35% as a rule of thumb, but this can change based on the OP's use.

Ah okay thanks a lot man, might drop you a few PM's for any future questions. By the way, are you sure I should go 60hz? My friends say 144Hz is amazing compared to 60, and those ASUS 1440p monitors didn't seem to pricey.

Also, will that build run pretty much any current AAA game maxed out over 60FPS?

Thanks :^)
