Yes, they are simply showing the various data rates the mobo/chipset has been tested too. 
Above 2133 the CPU starts to play in as it's MC (memory controller) is the determining factor as far as the data rate you can run with that CPU. A stronger i5 or i7 can generally run 2666 or so above that may need a K model as a bit of a CPU OC may be required
