Good evening,

3 years ago, I built my first system using a switch 810 case and i've been wanting to minimize the space taken by my setup. Over the past few months, i've been looking at HTPC such as Node 202, ftz01, etc but after learning that most of the HTPC cases suffer from heat issues, especially if you plan on throwing in a gpu, I've been looking at other options and thus far.... I have come up with this.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Within the next month.

Budget Range: Under 2000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Photo Editing, Video Editing, Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: N/A

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: BHPhoto, Newegg

Location: Reno, Nevada

Parts Preferences: Intel and Nvidia

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 2560x1440.

Additional Comments: Doesn't matter for the window- not flashy, I want for it to blend in with the rest of my audio equipment.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: The main goal of this rig is to be able to run games at max settings in 1440p and maybe 4k if I decide to upgrade my monitor. (For the most part, I have the GPU set in stone as the 1080, but the brand can be switched if you can give me a valid reason as to why it would be a better option) but also, be able to run photo and editing software as well. I mainly use Photoshop and Bridge with DaVinci Resolve and After Effects every now and then. As you can imagine, I have some parts that are left over- such as an h100i which I would prefer to use as I plan to overclock.

As for the case, the maximum height of the case can be 320mm or 12.6" because I want to fit it in my media cabinet, so I am open to any alternatives you may suggest.

Here is the parts list thus far.

looks like a good build to me. I was worried about the 2x120mm radiator but that case can handle it. I also run a mini-itx build, but with an H80i, i7-4770k, and a GTX1080 inside a coolermaster elite 130. my suggestion is to pick up some Noctua NH-F12S fans which are designed to push air through a radiator. It's so much quieter than the stock Corsair fans.

I have a couple of Fractal Design Venturis which I use for the h100, as well as a 120mm Noctua Pressure fan and a 140 Venturi for the Intake that I would swap out.
