I'm about to pick up 8 more gb of ram for my pc since its really cheap. i had a question about installation , is there anything that needs to be done besides putting it on the motherboard? do i gotta do something when the pc is on , like verify it or something? im a noob when it comes to pcs , i barely knew how to build my own.

Solution
1. Make sure the RAM notch maches the slot indentation before pressing the RAM module into the slot.

2. Press both RAM sides at the same time but press one side harder till the plastic latch snaps into place, then do the other module side.

3. Make sure RAM modules snap/click into place

4. Only check you have to do from Windows is to verify that every RAM MB is being recognized and usable.
Open Control Panel > System and verify the Installed RAM size number corresponds with the total installed RAM, meaning it's all recognized and usable and all is good... and in case you see two figures, one for Installed RAM and another for Usable RAM size, you have a recognition problem.

Nope. Just plug it in and start up the computer. Then launch the computer and check if the BIOS/Windows sees the upgrade. If you have (for example) 4 RAM slots, you got slot A_1 B_1 and A_2 B_2. Make sure to use slot A_1 and A_2 first, then plug it into B_1 and B_2.

Also make sure the memory isn't slower than your current one, because it will run at the slowest speed connected. And always disconnect your PC from the power before you replace/add parts to the pc.

Okay thank you guys :) , i couldnt find a video on youtube , but thank you alot , you guys are awsome.

Did I miss something? what sort of video did you look for; How to install RAM, how to check it, what exactly?

You will probably find RAM installation instructions that will differ from what I've said... that you should push on both sides of the RAM module with equal and fair amount of force... but you will probably hear both sides click at the same time and you may not be sure both clicked into place. That's why I press one side a bit harder so I can hear both sides click-click into place separately (one after the other) and it also takes less force to make them bottom down on the slot. I read this method long ago and I've always used it, and never had an issue so it works perfectly. Besides it's safer to the ram module if you have it the wrong way around and try forcing it in believing you really have to "use a fair amount of force"... but it's really not much force you should use.
