So ive recently started playing world of warcraft again and only hit about 25 fps on a good day. Im running a HP p6-2489ea (http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c03735135).
(I5-3, 8gb DDR-3, Nvidia gt 630 and 1.7 tb free disk space)

Ive been looking at going for the GTX 970 Mini (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-1076MHz-Dl-Dvi-I-Dl-Dvi-D-Graphics/dp/B00P7337YG) and also upgrading to 16 gb of ram.

In you guys' expert opinion, would this increase my fps and quality of gameplay, and if so by how much. And also would the card itself fit inside my pc at all, (Ive read my PC can be an awkward size for GPU'S)

Also would i need to change my power supply or would 300w be enough?

Any help and suggestions are appreciated :)

A 970 will not run in your system, the power supply is too weak.

GTX 950 may but since you have an HP OEM system, the motherboard may not be on the max spec for PCIe power so may not run the 950 well.

The good news, you have a slow video card now, so almost any gaming card will be better than yours, a GTX 750 Ti is cheap now after rebates, and will run on your system. You can find a small form version of the card easily.

Another option is to upgrade the power supply and then get a faster card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151093&ignorebbr=1 good brand, modular. This and an AMD RX 470 would be good for an upgrade.
