Does 1x8pin power input limit a GTX 1070's perfomance/OCing

I recently purchased a Asus OC 8GB Strix Gaming Gtx 1070, this one here: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-geforce-gtx-1070-strix-oc-gaming-8192mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-403-as.html

I didnt realise the card model is powered by a single 8pin PCE connector, and others brands have different, I am concerned this will limit the card reaching full potential (Overclocking) from comments I have read on other forums when searching for a answer.

What I am asking in short is: Is a single 8pin perfectly fine and im being silly, or is it worth the extra head room that comes with the other models with what appears higher power input, Im paranoid Ive made a bad purchase and want the best 1070 model plus overclock the bad boy.

Im a novice and would love your help/opinion on this.

As long as your PSU has the number of connectors you need, in this case the single 8 pin PCI-E connector and it's minimum 500w as per Nvidia's spec, you're fine with a 1070. The Pascal cards' power consumption is quite low compared with previous gen cards and they should work nicely with a lot of power supplies.

In the case of OC'ing, the quality of the power supply would matter more than how much headroom you have.

Thanks for the reply, I think PSU wise all is ok, got a 1100wattt strike X with a 6+2pin connector, not a solid 8pin, I also researched into this 6+2pin is basicly a 8pin, Im guessing each manufacture has a different approach to design, you've gotta be right about last gens power comsumption (BadBoyGreek) as looking at my old 660 it required 2x6pin which is why i originally debated it as the Asus Strix is giagantic.
