Fans speeds up but won't slow down GTX 1070 (asus STRIX OC)

Hey,

I just bought a GTX 1070 Asus STRIX OC and when the fans start up, they sound like they're going at MACH 3 enven with the temperature at 30°C.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling GPU tweak II, the drivers etc, issue won't go away.

Anybody knows a solution?

If the fans are actually running at high RPM even at idle you should RMA the card, most likely defective since you tried reinstalling drivers and it didn't help.

At idle / low temps, Strix cards should produce minimal to no fan noise whatsoever. If your fans are kicking in at 30 degrees, the card is probably bum.

I just sent an e-mail to Asus to see what they can do, gonna have to wait longer for a new card I guess.Thanks ^^

Ok the issue was the Motheboard Bios version that needed to be updated.
