I contacted ASUS and even took my pc into Best Buy and they opened it up and are unable to find compatible ram for my desktop pc. This is the best answer I could get from ASUS:
I have brought my pc into BestBuy, had them open it up, and learned I have a very hard to find low voltage ram required. I also contacted ASUS and they are unable to help me any better than this:

Your mother board has 4 DIMM RAM slots.

Each slot has a maximum of 8 GB and you can add up to 32 GB of RAM.
The RAM that is currently installed in your unit is: KINGSTON DDR3L 1600 LONG DIMM 8GB 240P. 10:09:00 pm
So if you should get additional RAM you can match the specification.

Finally based on your serial information, the full model is: M11BB-B07.

Also, it is up to you if you want to use the same brand of RAM that came with the unit or purchase a different brand.

I just don't want to run into any compatibility issues if I select a different brand

Webster S. 10:15:13 pm

I can understand your concerns, but as I said I cannot recommend or tell you to choose one brand over the other. You will have to make that decisions and take all risk into consideration.

Can anyone please help me out here? It should not be this difficult to increase my pc from 8gb to 32 gb and find compatible ram sticks. And is it okay to mix a different brand with the pre-installed Kingston ram stick? Also what exactly will adding all of this RAM do for my pc? Will it increase reboot time, memory, speed, etc or is 8gb good for a non-gamer?

Here is another attempt to contact ASUS:
Shadeene R.
8:18 pmOkay.

Yes, you were advised that your Desktop uses ''DDR3L 1600 LONG DIMM 240P'' for RAM.

Kristopher
yes, however when I google the words " DDR3L 1600 LONG DIMM 8GB 240P" nothing comes up, I bought the pc at BestBuy and GeekSquad took a look at it and said it uses a special low wattage ram stick
Shadeene R.
The brand shipped with the Desktop is Kingston, but the brand is not specific.

The type is DDR3L (''L'' for low voltage), the speed/frequency is 1600MHz and the Long DIMM (Desktop RAM whereas ''SO DIMM is Notebook memory).

and Long DIMM is Desktop RAM (whereas ''SO DIMM is Notebook RAM).*

Kristopher
can you help me find a website that sells this ram?
Shadeene R.
Try the Crucial or Amazon website.

ASUS does not provide support for software/hardware upgrades from the original specifications, however some consultation is provided. You can seek the further assistance of a local computer technician or computer store for this upgrade/swap. Best Buy happens to be an Authorized Service Provider of ASUS. If any physical damage is occurred during this will compromise any existing warranty.*

UPDATE! I contacted ASUS AGAIN and this time was provided the following information, I don't know what to believe now:

Ricardo
5:45 pmHello Kristopher, thank you for contacting ASUS support. Please give me a few moments to review your information. I will be with you shortly.

How may I assist you today?

Kristopher
I contacted you earlier but your systems were down at the time and no case number was created
Ricardo
Okay. Thank you for that information.

How may I assist you today?

Kristopher
I have contacted you before and learned that the ram that came with my pc is KINGSTON DDR3L 1600 LONG DIMM 8GB 240P This ram is almost impossible to find anywhere so I contacted Kingston via email and this was their reply:
Hi Kris,

What is your ASUS motherboard part name?

Thank you for selecting Kingston Technology.

Subject: KINGSTON DDR3L 1600 LONG DIMM 8GB 240P
I gave the last rep my serial number of the pc but because your systems were down he was unable to provide me the ASUS motherboard part name.
Ricardo
Thank you for that information. Can you please provide your serial number so I may further assist you?

Also you do not have to purchase "Kingston brand" you can also purchase any other.

Kristopher
I do know that but please understand that I have taken this pc into BestBuy and they said the ram has to be a special low wattage ram and I cannot find anything compatible. Let me give you the serial number, I have been having a hard time trying to find a compatible ram...
Ricardo
Okay. Thank you for that information.

Kristopher

Ricardo
Thank you for that information. One moment please.

Thank you for your patience. It seem the last agent provided you the wrong information Kristopher.

Your model uses an DDR3 not DDR3L memory.

This is your motherboard: https://www.asus.com…rboards/F2A55M/specifications/

Kristopher
And this is for the M11BB-B07 model?
Ricardo
Correct Kristopher.

Kristopher
this is what the previous rep told me:
Your mother board has 4 DIMM RAM slots.

Each slot has a maximum of 8 GB and you can add up to 32 GB of RAM.
The RAM that is currently installed in your unit is: KINGSTON DDR3L 1600 LONG DIMM 8GB 240P. 10:09:00 pm

Finally based on your serial information, the full model is: M11BB-B07.

Also, it is up to you if you want to use the same brand of RAM that came with the unit or purchase a different brand.
Ricardo
Okay. This is what is in our system "DDR3 1600 LONG DIMM 8GB 240P"

The brand is kingston.

ASUS F2A55-M is your motherboard.

CPU is AMD A10-6700 65W 3.7GHZ.

Kristopher
Now I am totally confused because even the guy from Geek Squad said that the ram would have to be a special low wattage or voltage type of ram. I hope if I provide this info to Kingston that they may be able to help me. I can't believe it is this difficult to find ram for this pc. I only want to boost it to 16 gb.
Ricardo
I understand Kristopher. It was some miscommunication

I wish I had more options that I could provide you with I am truly sorry about that.

The existing memory, ASU16D3LU1KFG/8G, is an Asus part number. This Asus memory, manufactured under contract by Kingston, is available from Asus. Kingston cannot sell this part.
Kingston's equivalent, KVR16LN11/8, matches the Asus memory specifications, and will work together with Asus memory in same desktop no problem.
