I currently have windows XP. How can i install windows 10 using a USB? Do i have to purchase windows ten to do so?

Solution
You can use the USB media tool directly from Microsoft. Download it from their main page.

You don't have to buy it right away but there will be a watermark on the bottom right of your screen warning you to purchase a copy

I don't see why you'd want to do that, it would run much slower than it did on XP. Not to mention drivers will most likely be hard to come by if not impossible.

You need to buy Windows 10. The 'free upgrade' offer was only valid for Windows 7 users and up. You'll also need to preform a clean install and I recommend you use a physical CD/DVD to execute the installation.
