I'm having some lags with my HDD and I don't know what the issue is. I have an SSD for boot but this HDD is the one I run my games from and My LoL just crashed and it's happening a lot and even sometimes ingame I get a spike that's over 5 seconds long. This issue is tilting me a lot, please help me, I have no idea what it is about and have tried to diagnose it. I will provide information you ask for but for now I have no idea what to provide, so just ask; and it shall be delivered to you. Thank you.

Hi there Samihaddad,

It may be a good idea to back up the important data stored on the drive.
After that, as just Hellfire13 suggested, you can test the drive. It would be nice if you can provide a screenshot of the SMART report.

Sometimes bad cables could cause similar issues. So, in case you have some spare cables, you can attach the drive with those, to a different SATA port.

Cheers,
D_Know_WD :)

I'm thinking more about the 'freezer for one week' method. :) ty for that, I think airtight Tupperware is fine for this (or so I hope) ty for recommending the professional stuff, but I simply can't try it because my ssd also broke on me, so I cannot install software, and the only other device that I have is a macbook air, so GG EZ rip for me. It's one of the worst days I've had since a long time, I got really frustrated, like my ssd and hdd dying on the same day.

The first drive i got was factory new and faulty, that one was a gift from someone in thr us and when i read their policy, it said 'this product policy bla bla bla i dont remember basically voided if outside US' and the shipping and rma process would make me pay more than ehat the drive is worth, that story is 5 or 4 years old, so I had to pickup a 2tb seagate from my local pc store, it was for a really decent price, and that was also 4 years old, so now i moved and i cant go back to the store i bought it from and im pretty sure the warranty is poof. So this one basically died in shipping, im almost certain of it, because my ssd's sata port broke off, and that is my third incident, my ssd ive bot under a year ago and its under warranty by samsung and they offered to RMA it, so im hopefully going to do that.
