Hello!

I have a GTX 1060 founder's edition I use for CUDA with Blender. I'm doing some pretty "heavy-duty" rendering with it where it's maxed out at 100% usage at just under 70C (hovers around 68C - 69C with the fan at max speed). I have it rendering continuously at 100% for maybe 1 - 2 weeks at a time. I don't use blender professionally or anything so time isn't a concern. I also have an AMD r7 370 dedicated to running my screens and an i7 6700k CPU (hopefully no GPU bottlenecks). Is this bad for my GTX 1060 ? Is it going to ruin my GTX 1060? Thanks in advance!

Solution
Perfectly fine, but make sure that your PSU can handle the load.

Also, don't mix and match AMD and Nvidia cards unless you want random crashes with no fix. Usually it works fine, but you don't want blender to suddenly freeze because of a graphics driver conflict after 10+ hours of rendering a frame!

Ok, I have a 725W PSU, that should be plenty. Graphics driver conflict wouldn't be fun, but fortunately, I've never had any issues with mixing the AMD and nVidia Cards. Thanks.

What the hell type of unit is that? They haven't made those in a decade!

If you're talking about the PSU, its a "Sentey xPlus Power 725W PSU" they sell them on Amazon. 725W is a pretty weird rating. xD

You're talking about garbage that is NOT 725W, it's barely a 400W unit. Go get a real PSU before you have issues. EVGA G2 550 or Seasonic G 550
