Hi people.
Me and my girlfriend have a computer each, hers alittle less upgraded than mine, but still worked flawless until today....

When we went to sleep yesterday, she put the computer into sleep state, and when she wanted to turn it on the next day. Nothing...

The computer powered up, fans was running and all lights were on.
But screen was black, and no beep sounds. Even the keyboard display lights up.

It has done so before, a year ago or so.. It seemed to fix the problem when I took the ram out, and put them back in. Then the computer would boot fine.

But not this time.....

I've tried removing rams, and checking one at a time. Nothing.
Tried switching ram slots. Nothing.
I tried taking out GFX card. Gave me 3 beeps. Put it in another slot. Nothing.
Tried taking out LAN cable, mouse and keyboard cable, and even the headset cables. Nothing.

The CPU recently had applied new paste, so I don't think I need to check that.

All I need to do now, is check the PSU. But since everything lights up fine, I doubt the PSU is the issue.

It's a 650W PSU, and the parts in the computer are quite outdated, so I'm absolutely sure, they are not really needing a 650W PSU. But ye, that was what I had at the time.

What else can I do? I think I've done everything that can be done, exept for switching out PSU, but doesn't have one lying around.

Help me, please! :(

That is not a quality PSU. I would suggest getting a quality tier 1 or 2 unit, first and foremost. A PSU that is not properly providing power, can cause the issues you are having. Hopefully nothing got damaged, by your PSU. I had one that did what yours did, and it killed my motherboard, and CPU. Hard lesson to learn, on PSU quality. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

It's quite an old PSU aswell.. But it hasn't failed me before, and the powerflow seems to function alright. :(
But I've started building a wishlist on a hardware site.

Guess it's time for a new computer. Just have to save up then. :)

Thanks for your time, and thanks for your solution, even though it was what I hoped it wasn't (Dead PSU).

I'll guess you're solution is the best, I'm going to get. Sadly.

But as I said. It's an old set up.
1st gen i7
outdated intel motherboard
outdated PSU
Shit RAM

Ye... It all is almost 8 years old.
So I guess it's time for a new setup.

I just hoped it would last, just a tad longer...

Thanks though.

Fabulous!
Thank you! I'll go for that PSU. :D

Might go for an i3 skylake setup for my gf, since she's not the biggest gamer, but she would still love being able to play some of the game I play.
But she doesn't need much. So an i3 will do. :)

Thanks alot for your help.

There's no store that sells it here in denmark.
Seems like its an outdated PSU or something.

The only 750's I can find is GQ and SuperNOVA G2.

Wouldn't the eVGA 750 GQ be alright? It's gold plated instead of bronze. :)

Okay. Spent all that money on a new expensive (although much better), without checking one thing....
Seems like, what was the issue all along...... My monitor has died. Not any of the hardware in my computer.

I hate myself for not checking the monitor, before coming to any conclussions.
