Computer shuts down when left unattended.

Hello, I'm Valeri and I'm 20. My pc is acting weirdly. The problem is that when left unattended for a period of time (can't say exactly how long, but it's probably around 30 minutes) it shuts down and when I press a keyboard key or shake the mouse it boots up and shows "Windows did not close properly" and I have the options of starting it normally or in safe mode. It's a screen that wouldn't scare me if I didn't see it everyday. Another thing it does is that if I start a game and pause for, let's say 2 minutes, it switches to desktop displaying an error message. For each game it's different. One time I saw a bubble in the lower right saying that my graphics driver crashed. Actually now that I think of it, it happens in cutscenes too. So it's probably everytime I leave the game by itself without touching anything. Shaking the mouse during the cutscenes or pressing buttons helps it. I learnt that when I minimize the game myself and leave the pc for a few minutes, it doesn't crash the game like it does when I leave it on screen. That's all the information I can think of right now.

Stuff I've tried: - Turning hibernation off via cmd.

Ok, not haswell, skylake and instead it's so old its probably just something failing. Either the PSU or motherboard is likely failing.

It's probably just time to get a new computer, that thing is already 8 years old and will cost more to fix than replace
1) we need specs
2) Most likely it's a desktop with haswell or skylake and a cheap PSU
3) If number 2 is right, try disabling the C6/C7 modes in the bios. Some motherboards also have a "enable dummy load" option that you can use instead as well.

1) CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 6600
4 GB RAM
Graphics card: Sapphire R7 240 2GB
Can't say about the motherboard, but I can check it out if needed.
2) I'm sorry about that, but googling didn't help me tell if it's with haswell or skylake.
3) I'll try it when I get on the computer, thanks!

Well, bought it newly built max 1 month ago haha. So I have no clue why it's doing so. Should I go ask the people in the store we bought it from, it's still in warranty or can we fix it from here?

Return it to the store and demand a refund, it's worth ~$150 max and obviously broken
