I'm currently using my computer through Ethernet directly to my router. I also have a printer that connects to the router and can be used through WiFi or USB(but router is in other room). The problem is I don't know how I can use the printer while on my desktop. My computer can't use WiFi so that solution won't work. They are both connected to the same router but I don't know how that will help me.

You can use a wired computer to connect to a wireless printer.

They are both on the same network and only the means of transmission (wired or wireless) is different.

It is the router's job to handle the network traffic. When you need to print the router sees the request via wired (from your computer) and sends out the request wirelessly to the printer. The printer replies back and printing commences.

Just set up the printer to be on your wireless network per the manual. Load the printer drivers on your computer, look on your network for the printer and select it as your printer.

Wireless printing can be slow sometimes but for the most part will work very well.

Or you could set up the printer as a direct USB connection on...
If the printer and your devices are connected to the same local network whether wireless or wired, you should be able to utilise the printer if you have the driver/app set up to recognize the printer.
What you can try is to see if your computer can see the printer on the network. Within Device and Printers, click on "Add a printer". See if the printer shows up there.
