Hello. Its my first time here. I googled "Best PC forum" and I got here. I would like your opinion or any suggestion. I'm planing to upgrade my old pre-built PC, and I am on tight budget. And also I haven't built any PC, but I watched lots of guides and tutorials. I found affordable combo that has CPU, motherboard and RAM, and I would like you to tell me will it all work together, are there any better options and will my PSU be able to do a good job or should i replace it also?

My current spec:
CPU: Intel G620 @ 2,6 GHz
MBO: ASRock H61M-S
RAM: 4gb DDR3 532MHz
GPU: AMD HD 6570
HDD: WD 465 gb
PSU: MS 400w

Upgrade:
FX 6300 - 3,5GHz black edition
GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 1.0)
HyperX 8GB FURY DDR3 1866MHz

That's why I sent you the link to the CPUs that your board supports. You'll also notice there is a BIOS date required for the CPU to be properly recognized. I'd suggest you do a BIOS update to the latest BIOS offered for that board before installing a new...

The FX CPU range are not a good investment, they are getting old, are weak compared to a modern i3 and give you very little upgrade potential. Also as your existing system was pre built it is highly likely the licence for Windows is OEM which means its tied to the original motherboard so you need to factor in a new copy of Windows too.

Thank you for your answers. I'm not in position to build myself a new PC, but only thing i can afford now is an upgrade. I considered upgrading my current processor and ram, but only this combo allows me to get 3 parts for price of 2. Every processor from Intel i found so far was breaking my budget. If i go with this combo i will be able to squeeze a GPU in near future. I am in dilemma about going with GTX 950 or RX460, they are in same price range. Tell me will it bottleneck rest of my build, or any other suggestion. I'm aiming on playing World of Warcraft, League of Legends and some shooter games like CoD and BF.

If gaming is your main goal, then just get a better gfx card. The little Sandy Bridge dual core can keep up with either of those cards you mention with very little to no CPU bottleneck.

Wow THANK YOU man, you changed my opinion and gave me even better idea. I won't be switching to AMD and I won't be buying new motherboard, instead I can buy myself new processor ram and graphics card. For graphics card and ram I'm kinda sure, but I have little to none knowledge about Intel processors. So if you can please recommend me one or two processors that is in same price and performance range as fx 6300, and that is compatible with my current motherboard ASRock H61M-S.

I agree with the others who said to upgrade your processor. You could go about that a couple ways... you could simply search newegg or ebay for just the processor. Or... you could search for a used prebuilt system that already has the processor you're looking for. Many times, doing this, you end up paying the same price as the processor alone, but you also end up with a bunch of extra parts you can use such as memory or hard drives. Additionally, I also agree that your best route to noticeable improvement in games is going to be by upgrading your graphics card. Currently there is a GTX 950 in neweggs email promo for $90, plus you get a free game.

Thank you for your answer. I live in Bosnia & Herzegovina and newegg does not ship to my country. I found one internet site in my country that sells different parts for PC and best thing is that they are trusted and reliable, and I will go with them. I decided to go with GTX 950 and Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory for upgrade. Only thing left now is to find myself a good cpu. I searched online and i found tons of cpu's and tons of reviews. I would like if you could help me out with this one. What processor should I get that is budget friendly, less bottleneck as possible and that will serve me good in games like World of Warcraft, Battlefield and Call of Duty.

That's why I sent you the link to the CPUs that your board supports. You'll also notice there is a BIOS date required for the CPU to be properly recognized. I'd suggest you do a BIOS update to the latest BIOS offered for that board before installing a new processor. That way you'll be ready for whichever CPU you decide on. Here is the latest BIOS for that board: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H61M-S/?cat=Download&os=BIOS

These quad cores are still available at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007671%20600095610%20600005573%20600005579
Depending on your budget, I would recommend one of the Ivy Bridge processors (i5-3xxx or 17-3xxx) over the slightly older, slower Sandy Bridge (i5-2xxx or i7-2xxx). But even the Sandy Bridge quad cores will be a big improvement over what you have now.

Thank you for your time and all of your support. Intel i5 and i7 is kinda breaking my budget. By taking a look at your newegg link i got to Intel Core i3 3220, read couple of reviews and watched couple of videos and I got to conclusion to go with it. Tell me if there is better option for same price. And thanks for telling me that i need to update my BIOS, and please let me know what else do I need to do before replacing my parts, because this is my first time upgrading/building pc.

Planned upgrade:
Intel Core i3-3220 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor $112.74
Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $50.74
Asus STRIX GTX950-DC2OC-2GD5-GAMING $177.57

As far as the gfx card goes, you can do better than the GTX 950 for that price. These two GTX 960 go for that or less:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500371
This even slightly faster R9-380 with twice the VRAM is in that price range too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121978
The i3-3220 CPU is about as good as you can still do today for the 1155 socket at that price range.
