Hi, new PC and fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
Installed all drivers and windows updates fine, but the Service Pack 1 installation always fails, error 8024200D.
I've tried Windows Update Troubleshooter, the System Readiness Tool (including the hotfix), Check Disk and System File Checker (they came back with no errors). I tried manually installing the pack from Microsoft's site, my computer restarted partway through and recommended repairing my windows installation, which also failed but windows then started up just fine.
Nothing I've found on google or this forum so far have helped. I'm [censored] out, I'd really appreciate some help as I'm not initiated in this.
