just installed gpu have question

i just installed a gtx 950 ssc axc 2.0 im following the steps from http://smallbusiness.chron.com/disable-onboard-video-install-video-card-69176.html is this the correct way the book says i should have removed the onboard graphics before install with the drivers but this one says to just disable it after i get the driver going to the gtx

You don't have to disable it or remove it.... You can just plug in the card and install nvidia drives and your good to go

it has my gtx 950 ssc acx 2.0 listed as a gtx 760 in the device manager

Well I'm not to sure on that but you can try to play some games and test the performance to see if it's any different from the 760 I assume that was your previous card. But looking at it the gtx 950 and 760 perform almost the same

Open your nvidia application and click your rig and see if it still says gtx 760 as your gpu

What cpu do you have? A bottleneck would definitely not change the gpu name. Personally I wouldn't think the name matters since I had a r9 390x and the computer didn't recognize the card but it perform perfectlyl for a couple of months until I upgraded to the 980 ti

No there shouldn't be a bottleneck with the cpu but you could benefit in frames if you do upgrade. I wouldn't worry too much on this since it will not change the cards performance

I mean you could run ddu. You will just clean out your previous drivers which you probably just installed right now.
