Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 (upgraded from a GTX 970) but I feel like there is no performance increase at all.. I was expecting to get much higher framerates than I am currently getting.
The games I play with their FPS:
Witcher 3
Graphics: Ultra
Resolution: 1920x1080
Average FPS: Around 40-45 in Novigrad (taking the "Hierarch square" as example in Novigrad)
Overwatch
Graphics: LOW
Resolution 1920x1080 (100% rendering)
Average FPS: 140-150 fps I was expecting to get over 200 with this card and everything on low. I am using quick play to test since starting a custom game will increase FPS
World of Warcraft
Graphics: 10 - Ultra
Resolution: 1920x1080 (100% rendering)
Average FPS: Around 60ish in SW (depends heavily where I am)
My specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 6500
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1
Memory: 16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (4 x 4096 MB)
PSU: Seasonic M12II Bronze EVO 850W
Motherboard: Asrock B150M Pro4S/D3
HDD: Samsung EVO 850 250GB
Monitor: BenQ XL2430T 144hz monitor
Headset: Logitech G930
What have I done to TRY to resolve it:
- Uninstalled any previous drivers with DDU.
- Checked if power options were on high performance.
- Replaced my RAM with other RAM and ran MEMTEST.
- Clean install Windows 10.
- Set Nvidia 3D settings to maximum performance.
- Only installed the video driver and physX system software so not the Gefore Experience and the other stuff you can select. Also chose for clean install.
- Unplugged 1 of 2 monitors.
GPU-Z/CPU-Z screens:
CPU-Z - When I was running Witcher 3 in the background
GPU-Z - When I was running Witcher 3 in the background
I am out of ideas.. I have read so many posts but there hasn't been a solution for me. Can someone please tell me I am not crazy and I should be getting more FPS than I am getting now with this setup?
I hope I provided all the information.. If you need to know more please let me know!
Kind regards!
