Hey guys, I have build a couple of PC's in my life, but I cant figure out whats wrong with my friends PC. He build it himself without any experience, so im not really sure if he did something wrong, but I have taken a look at it, both 24pin and 8pin to motherboard are connected and we tried 1 ram stick instead of 2. No USB works either.

Is there anyone who knows what we could do to fix this problem?

SPECS:
i5 6600K
PNY Geforce 1060
Asus z170-p
Corsair vengence 2x8 3200Mhz
Corsair CX750M

Having the same problem, have you tested a different GPU or a different PCIe socket?
tested to clear the CMOS with removing the battery or jumper-switch?

Re-seat the CPU and check for bent pins on the CPU-socket.

Tried removing the battery. Even checked the voltage on it, it was fine. I removed the CPU and it looked fine, couldnt see any bent pins. I have not tried a different PCIe socket, atm I dont even have the GPU connected to the computer.

oh i see, you connect you screen directly to your mobo?
have you seen any LED error codes on the motherboard or any POST beeps?
Does the pc POST or is the power just on but nothing happens?

Secondly, you sure you seated the RAMs properly? because I once didn't but it felt like the RAMs were in place. but on second check I saw that they were not, even though they clicked when seated. sometimes RAM sticks could be hard as ***t

Hey, yes I have tried both with the GPU and with the MOBO. Still no signal. I have also tried 1 ram stick, in all the slots and made sure they are all the way down. The MOBO has a green LED in the bottom right corner. The chassi didn't come with a speaker, but we kinda crafted one yourselves, and no beeps from it at all. Not 100% sure its even working though.

do you have the possibility to test the components in another pc? or test another CPU on the Asus z170-p motherboard?

Have the motherboard boot-looped when you tried starting it, ie turn on and off and on then off, and som on?
