Hello,

So I recently bought a new PSU (FSP - FSP500-60HHN - 500Watts 80+ Silver gaming power supply OEM) to replace my older PSU that died not long ago. So I hooked it up and attempted to turn on my PC but nothing not even a sound. Could it be that there is no current going in? And FYI yes i did turn on the switch at the back of the PSU. Here are the specs:

-CPU- Intel core i7 2600 3.4 GHz
-GPU- Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti
-Mother Board- ASRock H61M-VG4
-RAM- 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance DDR3
-1TB HDD
-120GB SSD
-Optical drive
-Mad Catz keyboard, Gigabyte gaming mouse and Turtle beach headset if that does any difference (KB and mouse have lighting)
-Corsair liquid cooling for CPU (don't know the name)
-I have 1 intake fan 80mm on side panel and 2 exhaust fans 120mm at the back and the liquid cooling fan at the top. (fans all spin at around 2000 rpm)

Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Solution

Then it's obviously the PSU's fault.

i have already made sure that those hings are correct i even looked at tutorials on youtube to double check but it still wont power up.

Then you should test with a different PSU. No way around it.

Then it's obviously the PSU's fault.
