I'm currently on a tight budget with my first PC build, and I'm in a dilemma on whether to downgrade my CPU or GPU to buy other parts, so I need opinions on whether I should have an i5-6600 with a GTX 1070, or an i7-6700 with a GTX 980. Keep in mind that this PC will be used for mainly gaming, with a few bits of video editing, and I'm not overclocking my setup.

I do have to say that GTX 1070 and i5 6600 is definately a great choice you gonna get a higher frame rate on this bench no bottlenecking at all with GTX 1070

Definitely man GTX 1070 is way better than previous 980 GTX's and it plays GTA V AND WITCHER 3 games on 4K with 50+ AVG fps . and on 1440p its gonna a lot more fps
