I've been browsing this forum for this for quite awhile now but no one seems to have the same problem I'm having. I have a NVIDIA GPU and two of the exact same monitors, the only difference is that one uses HDMI and the other DVI. I've gone into the NVIDIA control panel where you change the resolution, but with little success. The HDMI monitor is set to 1080p, 1920x1080, but when you scroll down to the PC resolution the highest is 1680x1050.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure what the issue is here, you almost but not quite explained things. Are you saying the second monitor only goes up to 1680 x 1050 resolution on the DVI cable? What is you swap the cables around, same thing?

Did you check for an updated driver for the video card? Try a different cable?
