Hello, i have just made my costum pc i have some questions on my profile. But to the issue, i have 32gb of Corsair Vengeance pro ddr3 2400mhz but its running at 1600mhz.

1. How do i overclock it to 2400mhz?

2. If i overclock does it draw more heat and does it lower the life span of the ram?

You should go into your bios (press either f2 or del on your keyboard) and check what mhz you have your ram set at. If it is set at auto, then change it to 2400mhz ddr3 and save the settings don't overclocking it. If this doesn't work either call the manufacture and they will tell you how to fix it, but if it is a defect they will return a new package of ram to you. Finally, you should check the specs for your motherboard and cpu to see if your ram has exceeded the limits.
