Hello,
I have a very old GPU, which has served me well i might add, and after recently adding some better fans and a Hyper 212x to my rig i thought i might try squeeze a bit of extra "juice" from my hardware. I have a HD 7770 1GB OC edition and a FX 6300 CPU. As i have never OC'ed a component before I am not really familiar with it at all. Is there even any point OCing this GPU if so how much is enough, and what kind of performance boost should i expect; if any at all. And should i OC the CPU aswell/instead even though my GPU is a bottleneck? or would that be pointless? Now i know all machines are different so an "educated estimate" of what should work/not work and increase/not increase is all i ask. Also any tips/suggestions for OCing in general will be appreciated. Thanks.

Please note that despite Tomshardware being my first port of call, i will read further into this topic so if you have any good source(s) i should read please feel free to link them :).

Thanks for the reply; but this doesn't really help.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3.
