Hi. I use windows 10 and I also had Ubuntu 16.04 installed as a side operating system on a different partition. Today I decided to go to Windows 10 Disk Management and remove Ubuntu 16.04 by Deleting the partition. The partition was listed as free space so I clicked on "New Simple Volume" I went through the process but when it was loaded it said "Not enough space on the Disk(s) to complete this operation." I tried deleting the partition again and got the same error. I'm worried to reset my computer as it will put the free space partition first (Ubuntu did that) Help would be appreciated.

I made the horrible mistake of resetting my computer. Now somehow Ubuntu managed to survive the formatting and starts in rescue mode. Whenever I turn on my computer I get a Ubuntu command line (Grub) and none of the commands work. Now my question is how do I change the boot partition order without a OS to do it for me?

I tried to get rid of Ubuntu by formatting it from the disk management tab of windows. I am wanting to just turn on my computer and be greeted with Windows 10.

No... Unless I bought a Windows 10 Install disk. I upgraded from Windows 7 and I don't have my Windows 7 install disk. One thing I was thinking is that if in anyway I can access my Windows 10 partition, even just to view files, I could find my Ubuntu 16.04 ISO, copy it onto my Flash Drive and try to fill up the free space that way by reinstalling Ubuntu. But im having doubts it would even work.

If you've Upgraded from 7 to 10, and it was activated, you do not need to buy anything.

If that Win 10 was actually activated properly in the process of that Upgrade from 7, you can download the relevant Win 10 direct from Microsoft, and reinstall.
Your 'digital entitlement' is already registered at Microsoft, and it will install and activate.
A reinstall of the OS is no problem.

Go here, and create your own install media, either DVD or USB.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/

You do not need to buy anything, nor do you need your old Win 7 disk.

So it will detect that windows 10 is allready on the computer and take its product key correct? And which partition do I want to install it on? Because the corrupted Linux partition is always put first...

Yes. When it tries to activate, it will contact homebase and say "Oh, we know about this PC". And activate.
During the install...if/when it asks for the license key, skip.
Later, when it is done. It will activate.

Which partition?
During the install, when it asks 'where', select Custom.
You will be presented with a bunch of partitions.
Select each one, Delete.
Leaving one large unallocated space.
Create a single partition, and let Windows create what it needs.

I don't know what to do.... It says Windows can't be installed on drive 1 partition 1... I think I might just have to get a new hardrive?

UPDATE
I am so confused... I just deleted ALL the partitions, reformatted the drive, and when I load up the hard drive regularly IM STILL IN UBUNTU RESCUE MODE??? Did it overwrite something that prevents it from deleting? I'm so confused.

And now whenever I boot up the installation flash drive it says The Boot Configuration Data file does not contain valid information for a operating system
File: \Boot\BCD
Error code: 0xc0000098

Then you apparently did not delete 'everything'.
