I've had a dual monitor set up for quite some time now and about two weeks ago when I was playing video games, half of the right monitor was on the left side of the left monitor and the rest of the image was pushed to the right onto the right monitor. Basically the monitors' image wrapped around. Then the images got super grainy and cut to a black screen. Now they haven't displayed anything else but that screen even with a hard reset. It shows me that the computer is booting and "Loading Operating System" and the monitor will go black again. The monitor is on and running correctly but the image being displayed is a black screen.

Solution
Now if the computer reboots all by itself that's bad news, something really wrong, corrupted OS/HD etc.

If all you have is a bad display, I wager 20 cents, the other day auto-update from Microsoft broke your video driver (one reason I don't do auto-update, I do manual, I like total control, but that's another religion for another thread).

I would reload the the video driver, the latest one available from your Mobo vendor.
