I am running windows 7 home premium that I JUST installed today and after installing, well, there is no internet connection.

I've looked online for a solution and found a forum but that was no help. But I am going to ask here with the same guidlines that a user gave to the person with the issue to describe it.

-Model of network card/chip --I am not using a wireless card/chip
-Is your windows 7 64/32 bit? -- 64bit
-Are you talking about wired or wireless -- Wired
-Are you connected to a router or the modem directly -- router
-is your network card/chip recognized under device manager --There are drivers for it. If thats what you mean
-Did you verify ethernet cable to make sure it is not damaged? -- I am running a dual-boot system, I am typing this on windows 10, which gets internet, but as soon as i switch to windows 7, there is no internet
-Did you configure ip address manually or auto matically? -- I have not messed with it yet
-Did you install the correct network drivers? -- Ive tried installing drivers for it, but that doesn't work, and since there is no internet, I can't use the automatic driver finder thing in windows
-Is there anything else that doesn't work normal? --Everything works fine
-Did you use spybot S&D to remove viruses blocking internet? --I haven't but it is a fresh install, I really shouldn't have to.

It's almost certainly a driver issue. From Windows 10, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website, find your board, then select Support or Drivers or whatever looks applicable. Then find the Windows 7 64-bit drivers for your on board network card. (For the "Model of network card/chip" you wrote "Not using a wireless card/chip" which is accurate but you're using a wired networking chip and that needs drivers.) Once you have those drivers downloaded from Windows 10 you need to put them somewhere that Windows 7 can find them which likely means the Windows 7 partition (possibly D:\ from Windows 10) or as a last resort, a USB stick.

Now boot into Windows 7 and install the drivers you just downloaded. If it all works well, then you...

Double check your Windows 10 networking settings - my guess is everything is DHCP but if it's not then this is likely why you're having trouble.

Joe I love you so much. Thank you. I googled "support msi 760gm-p34" and their page for it came up and I was able to download and install the drivers and now I have internet. Thank you
