Hello, I am looking for a LGA1151 motherboard that supports DDR4. Has to be MicroATX. I found this one, and it looks great, but I was wondering if it will support SLI?
I see that it has 2 PCI-E x16.

MSI B150M Mortar LGA 1151 Intel B150

How can I find out if this one will support it? I've read that it's supposed to come Advertised as SLI ready, but this one does not it seems? And if it doesn't support it, what is the point of having 2 PCI-E 3.0?

What is the rule I can follow to determine? Or is trying to SLI on MicroATX generally a bad idea? I just want a smaller computer due to space restriction.

Solution
It does not. it will say if it support SLI.
For two way SLI, you need two pcie x16 2.0/3.0 that can run in X8/X8 mode. Only certain Z170 can support SLI for socket 1151, no other chipset will support SLI.

It supports CF but not SLI. The difference is CF needs just an x4 link while SLI needs an x8 link. The board will run at x16/x4. If you want two AMD GPUs that support CF the board's fine.

It does support CF, but not SLI, so one point is to have CF support. Another is to have RAID controllers, eg, what you see in my signature.

Gotcha, thanks guys. Both my questions are answered. I was mostly wondering what was the point of having 2 PCI-E, if no support for SLI. I guess it supports CF though. If I want SLI, I guess I'll look for mobo that comes as SLI advertised or lists "x8/x8".
